Clean-tech in  Australia

Clean-tech manufacturing offers Australia a rare chance to build a resilient economy. The global market, worth A$2 trillion in 2024, is set to nearly triple by 2035. We're leveraging world-class critical minerals, abundant renewables, and growing expertise to capture it.

This creates sustainable jobs across regions, including First Nations leadership opportunities. Without urgent action on scale and supply chains, we'll miss the clean energy transition's full benefits.

The Battery Academy builds the workforce skills for manufacturing, assembly, and beyond. Partner with us to turn opportunity into reality.

Battery Workforce Skills & Training Grants Program

Powering Australia's $1.6 million Grants Program tackles critical skills shortages in battery system design, installation, safe handling, and recycling. These skills are essential for Australia's energy transition.

The BWST program offers two funding streams:

  • Training Grants for businesses seeking to co-invest to upskill staff and establish a pipeline of skilled workers for the battery sector
  • Training Materials Development Grants to support organisations developing training resources for emerging battery technologies.

Available through to the end of 2027, apply now to build your team's capability, enhance safety standards, and secure your place in Australia's battery skills pipeline.
